Our Story

It Was Sunday was founded in 2023 by a California native and mom of three with a dream of establishing a brand that not only represented her style but also remained true to her values. A brand that pulled from childhood memories of growing up in sunny Southern California; from the salty sand beaches, fresh pine tree mountains, busy city streets, hot golden deserts, summer backyard barbecues and everything in between. It Was Sunday is meant to embody that nostalgic So Cal vibe with a commitment to comfort, quality and community.

Here at It Was Sunday, we are committed to ethically sourcing our fabrics, creating beautifully crafted clothing, collaborating with our local artisans and pouring back into our communities (check out our Causes We Support). Every item is designed, cut and sewn in Los Angeles and we are proud to be a brand that supports local workers and fair wages.
